Last updated: July 7, 2026. This page covers EOA Golf Score on iOS. It is written to be accurate to how the app currently works — it should be reviewed and re-published whenever the app's data handling or course list changes. This version reflects the app's all-public course library (every built-in course is municipal, county, or state-owned).
The short version: EOA Golf Score doesn't have user accounts, doesn't run analytics or ad tracking, and doesn't send your data to a server we operate. Everything you enter — scorecards, rounds, scores, notes, GPS pins, photos you scan — stays on your device. The only outgoing network call the app makes is a brief, anonymous address lookup (via Apple's MapKit) when you first open the satellite map picker for a course, so the map can center on the right place.
EOA Golf Score does not require an account, email address, or sign-in of any kind. The app does not collect your name, contact information, or any data that identifies you to us — because nothing you do in the app is transmitted to a server we control.
Information you create in the app — scorecards you add or edit, rounds you play and save, scores and notes per hole, GPS and map pin locations, and photos you take for scorecard scanning or the camera range finder — is stored locally in the app's own storage on your device. We have no copy of it and no way to access it.
The app requests two permissions, each used only for the specific feature that needs it:
You can review or revoke either permission at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security. Declining a permission only disables the feature that needs it — the rest of the app continues to work normally.
All app data is stored locally using standard iOS on-device storage. It is included in your device's normal iOS backups (iCloud or computer backup, depending on your settings) the same way any app's local data would be, but EOA Golf Score itself does not sync, back up, or transmit this data to any external service. Deleting the app deletes this data permanently, with no copy retained anywhere by us.
The app uses two of Apple's own system frameworks that involve brief network activity, both fully covered by Apple's own privacy practices rather than a separate third party:
We do not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDKs. No data broker, ad network, or analytics company receives any information from this app.
Course information in this app — par, yardage, handicap index, course rating, and slope — comes from a mix of official sources, public listings, and in some cases estimates, as disclosed individually for each built-in course inside the app. None of it is guaranteed accurate or current, and none of it is a substitute for a course's own official scorecard, especially for anything involving an official handicap or tournament play. Every value is editable so you can correct it from your own experience.
None of the three range finder methods (GPS, satellite map, or camera) provide survey-grade accuracy:
Use these tools as planning aids, not as a substitute for your own judgment or for an official, certified rangefinder where the rules of an event require one.
EOA Golf Score is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any golf course, municipality, county, or governing body named or featured in this app. Every built-in course is a publicly accessible facility — municipal, county, or state-owned — and its name is used solely to identify which real-world course a given scorecard corresponds to. Any course names, logos, or marks remain the property of their respective owners.
This app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the app collects no personal information from any user — local-only storage, no accounts, no analytics — this risk is structurally limited regardless of a user's age.
If how the app handles data changes in a future version — for example, if a future purchase feature or cloud sync is introduced — this page will be updated accordingly, and the "Last updated" date above will reflect that change. Material changes affecting how personal information is handled would also be reflected in the App Store listing's privacy disclosures at the time of that update.
