§ 03 — About

Willis Strategy Group

Colonel (Retired) Chris Willis brings more than 35 years of combined leadership and management experience. A 1991 graduate of West Point, Chris spent 25 years as a US Army Infantry officer — including tours in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Korea — leading organizations to the highest levels of excellence from platoon to division.

Chris then spent 10 years as a Department of the Army Civilian delivering combat capabilities to the US Army Maneuver Force — Infantry, Armor, and unmanned systems — as Director of the Maneuver Battle Lab (MBL) and Deputy Director of the Maneuver Force Capability Development (MFCD) at Fort Benning, Georgia.

That experience — from leading Soldiers to defining, testing, and delivering the capabilities they fight with — gives him an insider’s understanding of how the Army sets requirements, evaluates solutions, and buys. Willis Strategy Group puts that understanding to work for defense clients: Defense Acquisition business capture strategy and implementation, combat capability development advisory, and business management consulting.
