Make sure Bluetooth is enabled in Settings. On iOS 16 and later, you may also need to enable Developer Mode under Settings → Privacy & Security. Both devices must have Bluetooth on and be within range.
Name, title, company, email, phone, website, Social Media URL (LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter — any URL you want), and a WhatsApp or Signal handle. All fields are optional.
Make sure the QR code is well-lit and fully visible on screen. Most camera apps will recognize it automatically — no need to tap the shutter button.
Yes. When you share via AirDrop, Messages, or Email, EOA Biz Card attaches both a visual photo of your card and a .vcf contact file. The photo shows exactly how your card is designed — the recipient sees the real card, not just text.
Lay the card flat on a dark, contrasting surface in good light. After scanning, all fields are editable in the review screen before saving — just correct anything the scan missed.
Go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Contacts and make sure EOA Biz Card has permission. If it was denied, tap the toggle to allow access, then try saving again. Note that saving updates an existing contact if that person is already in your Contacts, rather than creating a duplicate.
Adding a pass to Apple Wallet requires a certificate that only Apple issues directly to developers, plus a signing step this app doesn't perform. The Wallet option is shown honestly with this explanation rather than pretending it works — your other selected save destinations (Contacts, Photos, In the App) all save normally regardless.

Your business card details are stored only in your iPhone's local storage. No account is required and no sign-in is needed.
When you share via Bluetooth, your card data and card photo are transmitted directly device-to-device. No data passes through any server or third party. The photo is generated on your device and sent only to the person you're sharing with.
The camera is only accessed when you actively tap Scan Card. Images are processed entirely on-device using Apple's Vision framework. Every scan is stored in your on-device Scan History. Images are only added to your Photos library if you specifically choose that option — never automatically.
Contacts access is only requested when you choose to save a received card. The app reads nothing from your existing contacts.
If you choose to save a card image to Photos, the app requests permission to add photos only — it can never browse, read, or access your existing photo library.
EOA Biz Card contains no analytics SDKs, no advertising SDKs, and no third-party tracking of any kind.
