Bookkeeping that stays on your phone

EOA Books is a double-entry ledger for a one-person business. It records income and expenses, keeps your accounts in balance, and produces the reports you need at year end — without an account to create, a server to trust, or a bank login to hand over to anyone.

No bank connections, by design. Most bookkeeping apps ask you to give a third-party aggregator the credentials to your bank. EOA Books never asks, because it has nowhere to send them. You enter what you spend, or import a statement you downloaded yourself.

What it does

Real double-entry

Every transaction balances or it will not save. Simple two-account entry by default, full splits when you need them.

Your chart of accounts

Starts with a sensible set for a service business. Rename, add, and archive as your books grow.

Profit and loss

Month, quarter, or year, with income and expenses broken out by account and a net profit figure at the bottom.

Schedule C grouping

Tag accounts to the Schedule C line they belong on and roll the whole year up for your tax preparer.

Export anything

CSV of every entry, a category summary, or a complete JSON backup. Always free, never behind a purchase.

Amounts that add up

Money is stored in exact cents rather than as decimal approximations, so your totals do not drift over time.

Privacy

EOA Books has no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no servers operated by Willis Strategy. Your ledger is written to this app's private storage on your iPhone and stays there. Nothing is uploaded, and there is no copy of your books anywhere else unless you export one yourself.

Because of that, keeping a backup is your responsibility, and the app makes it a one-tap job. Read the full privacy policy.

Availability and pricing

EOA Books is being prepared for release on the App Store for iPhone, running iOS 17 or later.

The app is free to download. Recording transactions, managing accounts, running reports, and exporting or backing up your data are all free and will remain so. An optional one-time in-app purchase, EOA Books Pro, unlocks additional convenience features. It is a single purchase, not a subscription, and it applies to every device signed in to the same Apple Account. Pricing is shown in the app and on the App Store listing.

Not tax or accounting advice. EOA Books is a record-keeping tool. It does not calculate, prepare, or file tax returns, and it does not provide tax, legal, or accounting advice. Schedule C categories in the app are an organizing aid only. How any particular item should be treated is a question for you and a qualified tax professional.
