The short version
We do not collect your data. EOA Books has no accounts, no login, no analytics, no advertising identifiers, and no servers operated by us. Everything you enter stays in the app's private storage on your device.
Information the app collects
None. EOA Books does not transmit your ledger, your account names, your transaction amounts, your business name, or any other content you enter to us or to any third party. There is no analytics SDK, no crash-reporting SDK, no advertising SDK, and no tracking of any kind embedded in the app.
Where your data lives
- Your ledger is stored as a file in the app's private container on your iPhone, protected by iOS file protection and your device passcode.
- The app keeps two rotating local backups of that file, also on your device, so an interrupted save cannot destroy your records.
- Files you create using the export features are written to a temporary location and handed to the iOS share sheet at your request. Where they go from there — Files, Mail, another app — is entirely your choice, and those destinations have their own privacy terms.
- If you delete the app, iOS deletes its container and everything in it. We have no copy and cannot restore it for you.
In-app purchase
The optional EOA Books Pro unlock is processed entirely by Apple. We never see your payment card, billing address, or Apple Account details. The app asks Apple whether a valid purchase exists for this Apple Account and receives a yes or no; it does not store, transmit, or share any purchase information beyond that. Apple's handling of your transaction is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
Permissions
EOA Books requests no location access, no contacts access, no microphone access, and no health data. If a future version adds a feature that needs a permission such as the camera for receipt capture, iOS will ask you at the moment the feature is first used, the app will explain why, and declining will not affect the rest of the app.
Children
EOA Books is a business bookkeeping tool intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children, and as described above, we do not collect information from anyone.
Your rights under GDPR, UK GDPR, and CCPA/CPRA
These laws give you rights to access, correct, delete, and port your personal information, and to know whether it is sold or shared. Those rights are directed at organisations that hold your data. We hold none.
- We do not collect, process, store, sell, or share personal information through the app.
- We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA, and we have never done so.
- You can exercise access, correction, deletion and portability yourself and immediately: your data is on your device, the app can export all of it at any time, and deleting the app deletes all of it.
- If you email us, we will hold your message and email address only for as long as it takes to answer you.
